This beauty here is my Nerf Storm Bolter. It is still fully functional. Took me a good while to piece it together and figure out the firing mechanism, but I am proud of it.

The purity seal on the side reads as follows:

Legum servi sumus ut liberi esse possimus

how did you connect the Recons and mod that drum to feed backwards?

The drum was easy. You can do it two ways:
1: There are two slots next to where you load the darts. One is smaller that the other to prevent putting it in backwards. Make the slots larger by just using a razor. Then cut out a slot midway down the magazine opposite of the pre-cut slot
2: Remove the magazine lock from inside the gun and repeat part one from above

To connect them, I cut off as much excess as I could before simply gluing them together
